Hello fellow humans...
Annie here, I enjoy exploring both the art and craft of writing and illustrating children's picture books. With my Autistic and Queer identities, I'm passionate about pushing boundaries and exploring topics others might shy away from.

When I create illustrations for children, my favorite part is challenging what is acceptable and unacceptable. It is my goal to create works and stories that represent our world's diversity. I want to create characters who reflect all people's experiences. It is my goal to provide comfort and understanding for young readers, demonstrating that it is okay to be different. I believe this is important because it enables young people to recognize and accept differences in others. It also allows them to understand that having an individual identity is something to celebrate. It also allows them to see themselves in the stories they read, leading to a deeper connection with the characters.
My Story
Hi, I'm Annie (She/They), a twenty-something-year-old illustrator based in the UK. My special interest lies in children's illustration and art with a meaning/message, my goal is to become both an author and illustrator of children's picture books. I get inspiration from my personal identity as a Queer, Autistic person and from the world around me. My hobbies include but are not limited to nature/animal photography, listening to Horror podcasts, watching true crime, playing video games, and spending time with my two fur babies: Mischief and Magika.
My core values/personal ethos would have to be self-acceptance, visibility, equality, education for all, etc.

My work is often motivated by my personal ethos, sexuality, and gender identity.
